Classic White Bean Stew (Kuru Fasulye)
Restaurant-style, perfectly thickened, rich tomato paste white bean stew.
Ingredients
- 2 cups dried white beans (soaked overnight)
- 1 large onion
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- 1 tbsp pepper paste
- 3 tbsp oil or butter
- Salt, red pepper powder
Instructions

Boil the overnight-soaked beans until slightly tender, then drain.

In a separate pot, sauté the diced onions in oil, add the tomato and pepper pastes, and sauté until fragrant.

Add the beans to the pot and pour enough hot water to cover them by two fingers.

Cook on low heat until the beans are completely soft and the sauce thickens.
